Natural Vitamins Guide

Natural vitamins and minerals can assist you in living a healthy lifestyle. It’s important to know what and when to take them. First thing to consider is how well is the supplement absorbed into the bloodstream.  Most vitamins if taken on an empty stomach will literally just get passed out of the body if not taken with food and there therefore will do you no good what so ever.

Most multivitamins use a coating called enteric coating. This coating is a delivery system that allows it to pass through the stomach safely and effectively.  The stomach which contains stomach acid will at times destroy some of the good ingredients within the vitamins.

Keep this in mind when taking vitamins, if the type of coating on the vitamin is enteric you can take it whenever it’s convenient for you. Vitamins with standard coating will need to be taken with a meal since food will shelter the nutrients and assist them in getting absorbed into your body. It doesn’t matter when you take these type of vitamins as long as they are with food.

Make sure as with anything you put into your body you read the labels. Make sure you know which nutrients you’re lacking and which ones you use up due to high activity etc…If you just need a little of everything a good natural multivitamin will do the trick. Check to see that the multivitamin not only has solid vitamins and minerals but also has botanicals, amino acids, enzymes and other specialty ingredients that maximize the body’s engine.

Eating healthy is key to living a healthy lifestyle but we don’t always have the time to cover all the food groups and get all the vitamins and nutrients we need so taking natural vitamins and supplements will assist us in your healthy lifestyle journey.
